    INTRODUCING

    DAVID HUTCHEON, BROKER

    David Hutcheon is a Broker with Real Estate Homeward.  He enjoys building neighbourhoods and investing in real estate.  In 2008 the Toronto Real Estate Board recognized David’s experience in community building and appointed him to its Government Relations Committee.  In 2012, the Canadian Real Estate Association bestowed upon him its Silver Pin Award for “leadership and exceptional contributions in advancing realtor issues at the federal level.”  In 2015 he was asked to serve on the Real Estate Council of Ontario’s Discipline and Appeals Committee.  He was reappointed in 2017.


    Before becoming a full time, licensed real estate agent David served in Provincial and Municipal government.  The province appointed David as an adjudicator and mediator.  He was Vice Chair of the Environmental Review Tribunal, a hearing officer for the Niagara Escarpment Commission and a member of the Rental Housing Tribunal.  Prior to that he was an elected Toronto City Councillor, and became Budget Chief and Deputy Mayor.  He has served as a Director of the Canadian Urban Institute, Runnymede Hospital and was a Toronto Harbour Commissioner. 

    In 2003 David was awarded a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario.  He is a recipient of the Confederation Medal of Canada for his voluntary community service.
